Mortehoe Holiday Let

In Summer 2016, we were excited to be asked by the National Trust to restore and convert this former farm building, on the edge of the North Devon village of Mortehoe, into holiday accommodation for two people.

The National Trust describes the property: "We are delighted to announce that the restoration of this former linhay is now complete and it has been transformed into a single story cosy cabin for two, situated on the edge of the hilltop settlement of Mortehoe".

Uniquely, all aspects of this project were carried out in-house, even the hand carved wooden plaque on the side of the property. All plumbing and electrical work was carried out by our sister company, Arcken.

This really is an excellent example of the wide range of skills we are able to offer here at Woofenden and our ability to work on historic buildings with sensitivity.

You can now book 'Gordon's Cabin' and read the National Trust's article about the property.
