Ethan Pratt

Ethan Pratt
Project Manager

Ethan started his career with Woofenden in 2006 when he was taken on as an Apprentice Carpenter immediately after finishing full time education.  Through his apprenticeship he gained experience working on various construction projects from extensions to full renovations and new timber framing.  During this time Ethan passed his NVQ Levels 1 – 3 together with obtaining the City & Guilds qualifications in Carpentry & Joinery.

In 2012, Ethan was promoted to Site Supervisor where he became responsible for measuring, ordering materials, organisation of site activities
and keeping the Contract Managers abreast of works progress alongside carrying out his carpentry based work.  Ethan also completed his SSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Course) whilst in this position.

Following a successful transition into a supervisory role, Ethan was again promoted in 2013 to Project Manager.  Ethan very quickly became responsible for various projects across the Devon, Somerset, Dorset & Avon Counties, many of which were reinstatement works following the 2012 floods.  He is now Project Manager for many of the properties that were flooded in the Somerset Levels during the Winter of 2013 – 2014.

Ethan has swiftly adopted his own approach to managing successful projects for both insurance related works and larger private projects too.  Ethan is passionate about the finer details throughout the build and delivering economic, efficient and high quality products/projects for Clients, Insurers and the Business alike.

Russell Mirams

Russell Mirams
Project Manager

Russell has many years of experience within the construction industry since settling in the UK from New Zealand.  Russell started his career with Irish Groundworkers and then went onto drylining and plastering works.  Following this, Russell then worked for a Developer which involved renovating and reinstating old barns to residential properties.  This work has given him a wealth of knowledge with both older and cob properties.

Russell has watched Woofenden grow slowly but surely into what it is today.  Like Russell, most of the people that started working at Woofenden have stayed with the company and all share the same goal; to make the company better and stronger and to build on good relations with people both local and further afield.

Russell was promoted in 2012 to Project Manager, which involves overseeing multiple jobs and to ensure their smooth and efficient running from start to completion.  Russell enjoys the challenges that this sometimes produces.

Russell is also married with two children and one on the way.  In his words ‘he enjoys a challenge’ !!
